We are excited to share the new version of Aya Contigo, our virtual companion app for sexual and reproductive health (SRH). A reimagining designed to bring you closer to the support and information you seek.
This app is the result of our work with local organizations and activists to expand our reach in the Americas and adapt it to the needs of the communities affected by the rise of anti-rights policies.
We launched in 2022 to address critical abortion access gaps in Venezuela and then expanded in 2023 to the United States. Now serving more than 20,000 users, especially in underserved areas, we have seen huge demand across the Americas, and this new app is born as a response to better support these communities.
Our refreshed logo and icon represent our expanded mission, encompassing Aya Contigo Global, alongside Latin America (LATAM) and the United States with new vibrant gradients and expressive graphics.
We created a user-centric experience, prioritizing your privacy and seamless access to information:
Intuitive homepage: Go straight into the resources you need.
Enhanced security: Protect your privacy with a personalized PIN password.
Friendly support: Connect with our team via in-app chat or WhatsApp, with quick access points throughout.
Access to community forum: Engage, share, and find solidarity in our community.
Offline access: Get resources even without internet connectivity.

New content is available!
We've enriched Aya Contigo with new content based on your feedback and common search queries. For starters, we have shifted our focus to position Aya Contigo as your comprehensive SRH companion, going beyond abortion to help reduce stigma and emphasize accessibility.
Also, we developed a comprehensive FAQ. This way you can find instant answers, reducing waiting times and empowering you with self-service solutions.
Debunking myths and sharing facts is a new helpful tool, so you can navigate the often-misleading world of SRH information with clear, science-backed facts.
In the real stories section, you can connect with powerful narratives from users who have found support through Aya Contigo.
We understand that terminology, medication availability, and resource availability vary between regions, therefore, the content of resources is adapted to reflect those differences.
Inclusivity features
We are committed to making Aya Contigo accessible to everyone, which is why we enabled color contrast testing to ensure readability for users with visual impairments.
Now, we provide audio guidance and step-by-step audio instructions for medication usage for users with low literacy or reading difficulties.
For language options, we have English and Spanish support in the US version and Spanish support in the Latam version.
More - Behind the Numbers: Aya Contigo is redefining access to reproductive care across the Americas
We also integrate intelligent automation to enhance your experience. So now you have chatbot assistance so you can receive immediate guidance and resource recommendations, even when our team is offline.
Aya Contigo 2.0 is available in the Americas, and we have a rich network of local organizations for trusted referrals in your country.
Holistic approach
We've expanded our resources to include a self-care section and collaborative resources, which include downloadable guides, like our food and abortion document, created in partnership with community organizations.

Aya Contigo is more than an app; it's a tool for exercising body autonomy and accessing SRH. We are very proud of the results and we invite you to explore the new Aya Contigo and experience the difference.
