This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared when you download the Aya Contigo app from the Google Play Store, App Store, or view the Aya Contigo app through this link https://app.ayacontigo.org or https://app.ayacontigo.com

1) What information does Aya Contigo collect?
The Aya Contigo App itself does not collect any personal information from users. When users voluntarily communicate with the Aya Contigo chat support team (either through the App chat, our WhatsApp number or email address), we will have access to the information you choose to share with us ("Voluntary Information"). We will always ask for consent to collect any Personal Information and consent to share this information with trusted referral partners. You are free to decline our request for your personal information, understanding that we may not be able to provide you with some of your desired services with our trusted referral partners.

We collect certain information about your device, including information about your browser, IP address, time zone and some of the cookies that are set on your device. In addition, as you browse the application, we collect information about the individual pages you view, and information about how you interact with the application. We refer to this automatically collected information as "Device Information".

2) How will your information be used?
The Aya Care Team will collect Voluntary Information such as demographic data to understand and improve Aya Contigo's operations and services. Other Voluntary Data, such as email, phone number and name, is also collected to ensure appropriate referral to trusted partners only if necessary, and to solicit feedback about your experience with Aya Contigo and our partners. We will only use anonymized or aggregated Voluntary Information for research and analysis purposes.

We use the Device Information we collect to help us detect potential risks and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our App (for example, by generating analytics about how users navigate and interact with the App, and to evaluate the success of our outreach activities).

3) Data security and retention
We use reasonable security practices and procedures, including administrative, technical, operational and physical safeguards, to protect your personal information. We only retain the information we collect for as long as necessary to provide you with the requested service. We will protect the data we store by commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

If you choose to share Voluntary Information with us, we may share such information only to the extent required by Canadian law in these circumstances:

We have privacy and security protocols and agreements in place with these trusted partners, but cannot accept responsibility for their respective privacy policies. If we make changes to our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page or make this revised information available to you.
